Refer a Client
Assure Recovery Center accepts referrals from detox and residential programs, hospitals, therapists, and case managers. We also work with county and probation staff and employee assistance programs (EAPs). We are an outpatient program in Kearny Mesa, San Diego, at 4858 Mercury St. Clients go home or to sober living each night. Our program works as a practical step-down after a higher level of care. The California Department of Health Care Services certifies our program. When you send a referral, our admissions team calls you to talk through it.
Levels of Care We Accept for Referral
We take referrals into three levels of care. Those are partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient care. Each client starts with a clinical assessment, and our team places them at the right level. Placement can change as the client progresses. A client can move up or down between levels, so your referral does not lock in a single path.
PHP
runs most of the day, most days of the week. It fits a client who needs more daily structure than weekly therapy gives. That includes a client leaving detox or residential care.
IOP
offers morning, evening, and virtual sessions several days a week. It fits a client who needs regular sessions and also has a job, classes, or caregiving duties.
Outpatient care
is two one-hour sessions a week, with evening and late-afternoon times. It suits clients with a stable home. The client may be finishing a higher level of care, or may have steady needs.
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is available alongside these programs. Our team pairs it with counseling and behavioral therapy and never offers it on its own.
Complete Our Refer a Client Form Today
Complete the form below to refer a client to Assure Recovery Center. If you have questions about how referrals work, contact us today.
To protect patient privacy, please do not include patient names, dates of birth, diagnoses, or insurance member IDs. Our admissions team will call you to discuss the referral.
We don’t offer detox, residential, or housing. Clients requiring withdrawal management or 24-hour care begin in a program that provides those levels of care. When referring a client stepping down from one of those programs, we will coordinate the step-down with you. Just provide us with the desired discharge date so we can coordinate with you. We can also help clients find sober living when they need more structure outside of treatment hours.

Insurance for Referred Clients
We accept PPO, POS, EPO, and HMO plans. Some of the carriers we work with include Aetna, Anthem, Beacon, Cigna, Tufts, and Unicare. Coverage depends on the plan, so send benefit questions to our admissions team when you refer a client. Medicaid and Medicare are not accepted. If a client’s only coverage is one of those, we cannot take it as payment.
